Announcing the June/July give-away!

Well, here it is - The June/July give-away! Up for grabs is this sweet Classic Beaded Bon Bon pendant called "Sage". I offer Beaded Bon Bons in my "caraway" shop (after July 1st you'll be able to find them at CindyCaraway) on Etsy and they are made using vintage bead cluster earrings as well as bead clusters made by me using some of the same classic jewelry-making techniques of the 40's and 50's. Beaded Bon Bons have vintage charm but with a contemporary twist. Beaded Bon Bons listed as "classic" feature an authentic vintage earring - most with lovely, shabby signs of age and patina. If the piece is labeled as "original" then it was made by me using a variety vintage beads.

To be considered for the give-away just leave a comment anywhere on my blog during the months of June or July. If you like this pretty pendant, be sure to stop by my caraway shop to see more - I'm having a Summer Solstice Sale and everything in the shop is 20% off until July 1st. On that day, I will be closing my caraway shop and moving all remaining inventory to CindyCaraway.

May Give-away Winner!

Well, I am blogging from the road. My mother and I are on our way to Florida to visit Mickey Mouse and ride a few roller coasters. Even though I'm on vacation, I made sure to take time to do the drawing for the May give-away - and the winner is...
Joanne of gr8jewellery!!

Congrats Joanne! I love the idea of one of my pendants going all the way to Malta! I will convo you on Etsy to get your mailing address but you can feel free to send it to me at cindycarawaybeadwork@yahoo.com, too! Your new pendant will be on its way to you as soon as I get home from vacation (around June 15th or so).

Since I am on vacation my blog posts will be sporadic over the next 10 days. I will announce the June/July give-away when I get back, too.

Thanks to everyone who visited and commented - I LOVE reading your comments!

The MAY Give-away, finally...

The give-away offering for May will be one of my beaded pendants! I somehow didn't feel inspired to put together an "Inspiration Kit" (maybe I need an inspiration kit for inspiration to make an inspiration kit...? hmmm). Anyway... this pendant features a reclaimed clay cabochon surrouned by a seed beads in copper, violet, coral pink and ivory. It hangs from one of my kumihimo necklaces and is finished off with a gold-toned magnetic clasp. Leave a comment anywhere on my blog during the month of May and you could be the winner!

We have a WINNER!

Well, I have finally done the drawing for the "March" give-away which then became the March/April" give-away. I'm only 5 days late so that's pretty good... for me, anyway, these days!! :)

I had 53 comments and promised to count the 27 March comments twice so that makes... hmmm, let's see... 27 times 2 plus 26 April comments.... comes out to a cool 80! The lucky number was 54 and that makes the winner of the "Summer Harvest" inspiration kit - Karyn of Releases by Rufydoof
I will be sending a message to Karyn to let her know! :) So, hey Karyn, if you get this message before I get to you, just email me at cindycarawaybeadwork@yahoo.com and give me your mailing address. I hope you will enjoy your new vintage goodies!!

Give-aways, a New Cooling Fan and Some Studio Space

Well, I have finally gotten my new cooling fan for the computer so, hopefully, I will get caught up on blog posts and the like. April is almost half over and I haven't done the drawing for the March give-away. I know, I'm a terrible slacker!! :-P and since I am such a terrible slacker, I'm going to extend the give-away until the end of this month BUT every comment left during the month of March will count as double!! I hope that will be fair. If you don't think so, just leave me a comment saying so - it won't change my mind but it will get you entered in the drawing for the "Summer Harvest" inspiration kit! :D Here's a shot of it to entice you...lots of little goodies in here!

Also, some news! I have opened a small studio space in our local art center! YAY! So far, I love it! I'll be sure to take my camera when I go in tomorrow and take some pictures. I've gotten some fun stuff at garage sales and the space is actually starting to look like something - I can't wait to share it with you!
