My hubby has just started on a new adventure by creating The Dubuque Guitar School! It's been sort of a whirlwind trying to get everything up and running: building a website, designing print materials, trying to figure out how to advertise... Morning Coffee - Harpo plays the harp

This one certainly made me smile! As my husband stated, "Look what people were able to do in the days before the internet!". I think he's correct in thinking that the internet and television suck a terrible amount of our creative energies away. Something to think about... what could you accomplish if you weren't reading this blog, for example. What could I accomplish if I weren't writing it?? Hmmm....

Morning Coffee - Glass Duo

From what I hear, I'm the last person in the entire world to know about these talented people! While I am  classical music geek, of sorts, Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor is not one of my favorites (I really don't like organ music in general) but it takes on a very different feel when played on the glass harp. Anyway, I hope you find it as mesmerizing as I did!!

The Russian 7-string Guitar Quartet

My husband is a member of the (fairly) newly formed "Russian 7-String Guitar Quartet". They recently had a rehearsal meet-up in California and recorded a preview video. You can watch it on YouTube or just relax and stay here to see it. My hubby is the classy one in the blue shirt ~
